Whyte Dove Press wants to fill its site with free content but also offer a few things for sale. Therefore, we are searching for the appropriate venue since wordpress.com is entirely non-commercial. Not being html or CSS savvy and desiring to spend our time providing content rather than wrestling with ftp, we are in search mode for a site that will let us sprawl out like a mall with all our diverse offerings in an attractive environment with support and satisfying templates.
At this time, we are hosted by ixhosting and are investigating the templates offered there; we aren’t sure how much web-building support they provide. We at WDP are concerned that this host site is a wonderful Olympic-sized pool for cyber-athletes to swim in but a wader like WDP might drown in it. Our domains are at godaddy, and they offer a web-building platform with support; we’re currently looking into that as well.
